Active Shooter Events – more common than not?

My family and I were on vacation in Florida driving to CoCo beach when traffic stopped and three cars ahead of us, deputies had everything stopped while a “shoot out” ensued just a couple blocks ahead. Later, the story released said it was a simple case of man shoots at deputies, deputies kill man type incident. I would say that although police involved shootings occur each day across our country, this situation spilling into the public crosses the traditional line from a call for police service into a man shooting into the public where police stopped him. These types of incidents continue to escalate and the frequency is alarming. What started as a tragic day in Colorado at a high school many years ago began the “trend” of what we commonly refer to as “active shooter.” There are many parts to this series and I am hopeful you will check back soon because unfortunately, this trend seems to be increasing with each day. Auburn, Seattle and Phoenix, are just a few headline stories involving an active shooter incident in the past couple weeks. www.chrisgrollnek.com and www.countermeasureconsulting.com is uniquely positioned to assist in a training program to mitigate the risk and train your employees how to react safely in a less than desirable incident.

More to follow,
