The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that occurred at the Columbia Commercial Complex located on 102 Columbia Drive in Cape Canaveral.

Around 11:00 a.m., BCSO deputies responded to the location where allegedly an armed man was inside a business on the first floor of the commercial complex.

The suspect then allegedly fired at the deputies. Four deputies returned fire and killed the suspect.

Both north and south-bound lanes of A1A are closed to traffic as the crime scene remains active and will remain closed for several more hours.

Investigators are also reviewing security camera footage to see if it captured the shooting.
