We’ve been waiting for today’s 120th anniversary of the Wright Brothers’ first flight(s) to launch our own bold initiative. The Active Shooter Prevention Project (ASPP), LLC “DESTINATION NEVER HERE” Podcast and VLOG are coming along strong. One hundred twenty years ago today, the entire world changed with the successful flight of a heavier-than-air flying machine when it took flight. The Wright Brothers were notorious for their innovation and curiosity, but to have the audacity to believe “man” could fly was unbelievable to everyone except for the two who made it happen.

For two brothers to have a dream, survive unspoken failures, and have the endurance to keep going when the odds were stacked that high against them is as inspiring today as it was then. The key to this entire adventure was to dare beyond what the majority thought. We are doing just that by stopping active shooters and school shootings.

One giant move at a time, adjusting as we go, and we’ll get to “Destination Never Here.” Recently, I traveled to Kill Devil Hills, NC (Kitty Hawk) to record a series of interviews and short videos in search of how two young men from Ohio, with the help of their sister, made the unthinkable a reality. If this family and a community can make a machine fly not once but four times the first day after crashing three days prior, we can reinvent how the whole world views active shooters and stop them.
